CHUNG KWOK KEUNG is the owner of a small interior design company and CHING WAI YEE is his girlfriend. YEE is an easy-going person who likes to shop in Mainland China. LAP CHUN is late for work after repairing his car and his boss CHI HIN scolds him for having bad time management skills. CHUN and CHEUNG MAN CHING are good friends. They work in the same architecture firm and they are busy working on a mega architecture project in Chengdu recently. KEUNG gets a new project in Zhongshan. YEE wants to accompany him to Zhongshan but she cannot make it due to an ad-hoc meeting. KEUNG goes to Zhongshan alone and he tries to sell the extra ticket at the ferry pier. KEUNG returns home to discover that his elder sister KWOK MEI’s husband KA WO and her son TAI YIP are quarrelling with each other on YIP’s future career. CHING meets CHUN when going to work. CHUN tells CHING that the big boss KONG SHING YUE is returning to Hong Kong and they gossips about YUE. After the conversation, they are shocked to realize that YUE is in the same lift. During the meeting, YUE gives senseless suggestions to the current projects but only CHING dare to speak up among all the other staffs. YUE looks at CHING in a different light and prods her into joining the architect contest. Later, YUE discovers that CHING is not talented enough to join the contest. CHING meets KEUNG in front of the award-winning architecture designed by ISSAC CHUNG and she cannot help showing her appreciation towards ISSAC CHUNG in front of KEUNG. KEUNG reveals that he is ISSAC CHUNG but he doesn’t want to return to the architecture field anymore because of the sad memories in the past. YUE’s daughter ON KIU returns to Hong Kong after graduation and YUE asks her to work in his company. YUE has high expectation on KIU and he always scolds her. CHING teaches KIU to speak out and reveals her own ideas in front of YUE. YUE tries to check out CHING’s design and he scolds her hardly after seeing her work. CHING brings her design to KEUNG for help but KEUNG gives the same comments as YUE… KEUNG works overnight at CHING’s office to help amending the design. YUE discovers that KEUNG still has passion on architecture and he forces KEUNG to work for him…
CHING encourages KEUNG to accept YUE’s invitation but KEUNG rejects. CHING is sick and CHUN drives her to the hospital. YEE accidentally knocks onto CHUN’s car while driving and CHUN asks CHING to help chasing for compensation from YEE. CHING negotiates with YEE and she realizes that CHUN has exaggerated the repair charges. CHING discovers that YEE is her ex-schoolmate and they become good friends. CHING includes KEUNG’s name in the application form for the architect contest. KEUNG doesn’t go to work at YUE’s office and YUE goes to scold him. YUE is too angry that he suddenly collapses and KEUNG sends him to the hospital. Upon wake up, YUE desperately asks KEUNG to carry on and continue his dream. Later, they discover that their design is not selected in the contest and KEUNG is depressed. LOK doesn’t want to learn swimming and he runs away from home. KEUNG and CHING try to look for LOK together. CHING accidentally hurts her hand and she discovers that KEUNG and YEE are lovers… KEUNG hands in his resignation letter to YUE but YUE asks KEUNG to stay for another 7 days before leaving. KEUNG’s rival at work, WING SHEUNG, believes that he has other intentions by handing in his resignation and she put him on her guard. KEUNG criticizes LI’s plan mercilessly and LI runs away angrily. SHEUNG makes a complaint to YUE. YEE asks KEUNG to apologize to everybody but KEUNG argues with his colleagues angrily after returning to the office. HIN is agitated and his stomach trouble breaks out again. He suddenly spits blood and is sent to the hospital… On the next day, SHEUNG blames KEUNG for causing all the troubles and KEUNG promises to remedy it. CHING visits LI and asks her to give KEUNG a second chance. LI rejects her at first but CHING doesn’t give up. CHING accompanies LI to look for her real father CHEUNG TAK and they become good friends. LI eventually agrees to give KEUNG another chance. KEUNG keeps on changing the drawings and his colleagues find it unbearable. KEUNG later releases all his colleagues and decides to finish the drawings on his own. CHING wakes up to discover that KEUNG is sleeping besides her. They didn’t have sex with each other but KEUNG asks CHING to keep this as a secret between them. YUE announces that the Chengdu project will be taken in charge by KEUNG. HIN doesn’t think that KEUNG deserves the role but he acts as if nothing were in his mind. SHEUNG hints to HIN that YUE is interested in the reconstruction project of Kowloon Shing and she asks HIN to seize the chance… HIN’s ex-girlfriend KUEN comes to borrow money. HIN’s mother encourages him to pay the gambling debts for KUEN. KUEN brings their daughter to HIN and reminds HIN that she has sold her body to pay for his school fees in the past. CHING’s ex-boyfriend sends her a wedding invitation and CHING is depressed. KEUNG consoles CHING and CHUN overhears their conversation. CHUN misconceives that KEUNG is dating with CHING but he later discover that it was CHING who loves KEUNG secretly.… ...
CHING’s grandmother YUK HA is sent to the hospital. CHING is worried and CHUN consoles her. YUE is putting KEUNG in an important position and HIN airs his grievances to his ex-schoolmate MATT. MATT persuades HIN to make new plans for himself. HIN finds that YUE is working hard on the reconstruction project of Kowloon City and he asks for KEUNG’s ideas casually. HIN goes to YUE’s home for dinner and he presents KEUNG’s ideas to YUE as if those are his own ideas. YUE is satisfied with his ideas and asks him to take full charge of the project… The new trainee CHI YIN is very interested in KEUNG’s design and KEUNG finds it strange. LI learns that the design of another mainland construction project is very similar to KEUNG’s design. SHEUNG blames KEUNG for disclosing the design but KEUNG ignores her. KEUNG rushes to Chengdu to meet LI and they try to speed up the whole construction schedule.… ...
YEE rushes to the hospital to question CHING but CHING only pays attention to HA. While they argue with each other, CHUN arrives and blames YEE for misunderstanding CHING. CHING reveals the story behind to YEE and they reconcile with each other… HA insists to return to the elderly center after the operation. CHING visits HA and she is shocked to find HA burning the photos of her parents. HA reveals to CHING that her father is actually TAK who is also the father of LI while CHING’s mother is the third person who ruined LI’s family… HA reveals the whereabouts of TAK to CHING and asks her to decide if she would like to visit him. CHING asks KEUNG to drive her to TAK’s store and she makes it into a mess before leaving for Cheungdu. CHING arrives Chengdu with a heavy heart and she tries to visit LI’s mother. LI eventually discovers that CHING is her half blood sister and KEUNG persuades CHING to reunite with LI.… ...
The Chengdu project is finished successfully. LI gives everybody a treat and she announces her relationship with CHING during the dinner. Everybody wants to drink with CHING and KEUNG tries to protect CHING from drinking too much throughout the night. CHUN notices that KEUNG is taking special care of CHING and he reminds him to keep a distance from CHING… LI and CHING go to visit TAK together and the three of them reunite with each other. LI and YUE want to find out the one who disclose the design and SHEUNG believes that this person is KEUNG. LI discovers that the trainee YIN is actually the boss’ son and YIN asks her to keep this secret… KEUNG and CHUN return to office to work at night and they meet the sneaky YIN. YIN is carrying out investigation and he believes that HIN is the one who disclosed the design. HIN meets MATT with SHEUNG. After viewing MATT’s CD-Rom, SHEUNG believes that KEUNG is the one who disclosed the design.… ...
SHEUNG blames KEUNG for disclosing the design. YUE suddenly arrives to reveal that the one who disclosed the design is their contractor. He blames SHEUNG for handling the matter childishly and SHEUNG is displeased. SHEUNG hates KEUNG even more afterwards and this is actually a plot of HIN. MATT suggests HIN to chase after KIU so as to become the successor of the company. YUE wants to promote KEUNG to Chief Architect but KEUNG doesn’t know if he is ready. CHING encourages KEUNG to accept the challenge while KEUNG encourages her to join the school design competition. CHING always come to ask KEUNG for advice and YEE feels like an outsider. YEE airs her grievances to CHUN and CHUN asks her not to think too much. After finishing the design, CHING plans to bring HA to Chengdu to meet with LI’s family. On their way to Chengdu, CHING chats with KEUNG over the phone about her design all the way and she doesn’t pay much attention to HA.… ...
YEE rushes to the hospital to discover that CHING is crying on KEUNG’s chest and she feels jealous. CHING wins the championship of the school design competition and a property developer decides to build a new school based on her design. CHING wants to take care of the whole project and YUE agrees. KIU and YIP go to Macau to play. HIN tells lies for KIU and picks her up at the ferry pier. HIN tries hard to build up a good image in front of KIU so that KIU will admire him. HIN presents a new project to a property developer. However, YUE tells HIN that the project has been cancelled and he is very disappointed. During the time, he learns that KEUNG has got promoted so he shifts his anger on KEUNG. CHING changes completely after HA’s death and KEUNG is worried. KEUNG calls CHING several times but CHING doesn’t pick up the phone at all. KEUNG rushes to CHING’s home with CHUN and they discover that YEE is already accompanying CHING.… ...
KEUNG finds CHING eventually. CHING hugs KEUNG passionately and YEE sees everything. YEE is shocked and she runs away madly but KEUNG stops her on time. KEUNG learns that KIN is trying to commit suicide with his son and he rushes to the scene to solve the problem with YEE. KEUNG apologizes to YEE and claims that he was just out of his mind for a while but YEE doesn’t believe in him. HIN learns that KIU is not graduated at all but she uses fake certificate to deceive YUE. He bribes the reporters to inform YUE about this during YUE’s Award Presentation Ceremony. YUE is enraged and he slaps KIU after returning home. KIU is shocked and she runs away. HIN seizes the chance to reveal that KIU is dating with YIP secretly. KIU has no choice but to move to the outlying island with YIP. Some huge rocks are hindering the construction project in Chengdu and KEUNG rushes to LI’s office to learn more about the matter.… ...
Upon receiving YEE’s voice message, KEUNG rushes to CHING’s home and meets CHING. YEE arrives and misconceives that they are dating secretly. CHING meets YEE in front of HA’s grave. She reveals to YEE that she will resign from her job and stay away from KEUNG. KIU and YIP live together in the outlying island. YIP doesn’t want KIU to breakup with her father and he persuades KIU to return home. KIU is enraged and she runs away to HIN. HIN seizes the chance to declare his love to KIU and they end up having sex with each other. KEUNG and the others need to go to Chengdu to supervise the construction project. YEE learns that CHING will be going as well so she tries every ways to stop KEUNG from going but she fails. She therefore decides to follow KEUNG all the way to Chengdu and she tails after CHING all the time. In the evening, KEUNG asks everybody to attend a meeting in his room.… ...
After having sex with each other, both CHING and KEUNG do not know what to do next. CHUN consoles YEE and YEE realizes the difficulties of KEUNG. She leaves KEUNG a letter and returns to Hong Kong alone. CHING wants KEUNG to leave her alone but KEUNG doesn’t want to leave. YIP works hard to save money for his wedding plan with KIU. He is overloaded and collapses. KIU wanted to separate with YIP but she becomes softhearted after learning about the efforts that YIP has paid for her. HIN deliberately reveals to YIP that he chases KIU only because of her father’s status. YIP is enraged and hits him. YIP wants to tell KIU everything but HIN arrives earlier to make complaint to KIU. KIU learns that YIP has hurt HIN and she hates YIP even more. CHING resigns and goes to Mainland China to work. Before she leaves, she agrees to be YEE’s bridesmaid. KEUNG feels sorry for CHING and he sends her an email to apologize for everything.… ...
YEE knocks CHING down and drives away. KEUNG discovers CHING and sends her to the hospital. YEE is rescued by the doctor but she loses consciousness. KEUNG rushes to meet YEE for wedding registration but YEE runs away before signing the wedding certificate. YEE reveals to KEUNG that she cannot accept a wedding like this. Later, YEE goes to the hospital to apologize to the unconscious CHING. YIP is arrested for attacking HIN. KA WO blames KIU for causing all the troubles. KEUNG presents for a new Hainan project to the president CHOI in a meeting. Since KEUNG is not in a good condition, HIN seizes the chance to show off during the meeting. HIN discovers that KIU is pregnant and the baby belongs to YIP. After investigation, YIN confirms that the one who disclosed the Chengdu design is HIN. KEUNG tells YUE about this. YUE questions HIN about it and decides to report this to the police. KIU suddenly arrives to tell YUE that she is pregnant.… ...
HIN returns and everybody is shocked. YUE announces that the Hainan project will be taken in charge by KEUNG but HIN reveals that he has already agreed with CHOI that he will take full charge of the project. SHEUNG suggests that HIN and KEUNG could compete with each other. In order to hide away from KEUNG, YEE moves away and KEUNG is sad. CHING’s condition is worsen suddenly. CHUN asks KEUNG to go to the hospital immediately but KEUNG concentrates fully on his Hainan proposal. YEE is very nervous and she prays for CHING endlessly in front of HA’s grave. CHING’s operation turns out to be a success and CHING wakes up eventually. YEE decides to give up KEUNG for CHING. YIP finds that KIU is buying baby stuffs on the street and he suspects that KIU has got his baby. KUEN comes to ask for money from HIN but HIN asks somebody to beat her. KUEN meets CHUN and YIN. She decides to reveal the truth to them.… ...
KEUNG receives a letter from CHING and he regains his passion on architecture. Later, he meets LI and asks her to pass a painting to CHING. KEUNG returns Hong Kong and reveals to YUE that CHOI is not very interested in HIN’s proposal. HIN overhears this and he is frightened. HIN mentions about the Hainan project to YUE again but YUE sends him to Singapore for another project. MEI persuades YEE to reconcile with KEUNG but YEE has other plan in her mind. KEUNG discovers that YEE is dating with a kind man KING FAI and he is jealous… KIU and HIN is holding a wedding ceremony. YIP comes to question KIU if the baby belongs to him. KUEN suddenly arrives to disclose HIN’s misbehaviors in front of everybody. YUE is enraged and decides to cancel the wedding ceremony. However, KIU insists that she wants to stay with HIN. HIN also threatens YUE with KIU’s fake graduation certificate, which YUE doesn’t want to disclose to everybody.… ...
HIN goes to work right after his wedding day and everybody is surprised. YUE fries KEUNG and hands over the Hainan project to HIN. KEUNG decides to set up a company with his ex-colleagues in order to fight for the Hainan project with HIN. KEUNG stays awake night after night to work on the design. MEI is worried and asks YEE to help. HIN continues to threaten YUE with KIU’s fake graduation certificate. He also introduces his faithful partners to work in the company. YUE is angry about HIN’s behavior but he has no choice at all… KEUNG’s proposal is rejected because YIN is having a bad relationship with CHOI. KEUNG is very depressed and he works even harder to amend the design. YEE is worried about KEUNG and she tries hard to find CHING in Hainan. YEE returns to Hong Kong to look for KEUNG. She reveals to him that she has forgiven him already. KEUNG meets YUE on his way to SHEUNG’s place. He reveals to SHEUNG that YUE is suffering because of HIN’s misbehavior. KIU overhears their conversation and she decides to move back to live with her father. HIN believes that KEUNG has ruined his marriage and he breaks KEUNG’s right arm. KEUNG insists that he will not let go of the Hainan project but YIN tells him that CHOI will sign the contract with HIN very soon. KEUNG is very depressed. Luckily, CHING returns to Hong Kong to help him with the design. YUE also arrives to help convincing CHOI that KEUNG’s plan is a better option. KEUNG finally wins the Hainan project. YUE decides to sell his company and confess his crime to the police. HIN has got stomach cancer. KIU takes good care of him and he eventually recovers.… ...
