Hitler Didi or General Didi is a daily Indian soap opera that aired on Zee TV. It premiered on November 7, 2011. The story is located in the backdrop of Delhi. It airs in Pakistan on Express Entertainment.
Indira, the daughter of Kutumbh and Inder Sharma, asks her nephew, Ishaan, and sister, Mandira, to complete their morning chores. She even scolds her brother, Munna, and his wife, Sunaina of being irresponsible. Kutumbh gives Indira the municipal corporation’s notice regarding an overdue water connection bill, but Indira snaps at her. Indira's ruthlessness stems from the hatred she feels for her father. Later, an estate agent, Radhe, brings tenants, whom Indira rejects for a petty reason.
Radhe takes Rishi, a man who is looking for a place to rent, to Indira’s house. They encounter Munna, who charges a high rent for the room, which makes Rishi leave. Moreover, Kutumbh and Sunaina also remain skeptical of him. Radhe informs the incident to Indira and she leaves the office to meet him. On the way, she encounters him in an auto-rickshaw, but immediately has a fallout. Later, she gets off the vehicle and leaves.
Indira asks Munna to deposit the cheque for the water bill. Later at her office, she meets a new recruit, Manoj, who hits on her. She takes him to her boss, Gurpreet. Meanwhile, Rishi arrives at Indira’s house. He comes across Mandira and Sunaina, both of whom refuse to clean his room, so he gets to work himself. Later, he opens a box and gets startled to find a rat inside. He then throws his shoe at it, to shoo it away.
Rishi gives the security deposit to Indira. She then explains to him the rules of her house and asks him to fill up a form. Meanwhile, Munna argues with her for letting him stay, and leaves the house himself. Later in the market, Indira sees Mandira with an unknown boy. Back at home, she comes across Rishi again. He tells her that he is waiting for his pizza to arrive and invites Ishaan to join him. Meanwhile, Munna visits Inder.
Inder refuses to give money to Munna, while his second wife, Jhumpa, insults him. The next morning, Rishi gives Indira an old box as a birthday gift. Later at her office, Indira receives flowers that her brother, Vidhit, sent her. The same evening, Munna comes home with a lot of money and gifts for everyone, and informs them that he has started a new business. However, Inder and Jhumpa arrive with the police, leaving everyone shocked.
Inder scolds Munna for misbehaving with Jhumpa. The police arrest him while, Kutumbh falls sick. Jhumpa has a fall out with Indira and she leaves. Later, Rishi speaks to Inder about the incident, but Indira intervenes. She reveals her relation with Inder to him and asks him to stay away from her personal problems. Later, she visits Munna to post his bail. However, she decides against it because of what he said to her.
Munna comes back home and reveals that Rishi gave his bail. However, Indira gets angry and asks Rishi to leave. Munna comes in support of him, but himself leaves. Meanwhile, Rishi puts forth such a condition that makes it difficult for Indira to evict him. The next morning, Ishaan refuses to go to school with her. Just then, Munna arrives and offers to take him. Later, Indira, fed up with Rishi’s antics, calls up Radhe for a new tenant.
Mandira and her boyfriend, Ashish, shoplift and later get caught. Inder pays their due and asks Kutumbh to not speak of it to Indira. Meanwhile, Jhumpa sees him interacting with her and confronts him. However, he tells her something interesting that silences her. Meanwhile, Indira’s boss, Gurpreet, asks her and Manoj to find an Uzbek translator for their visiting delegates. Later, Manoj pays a visit to Indira house, little to everyone's expectation, looking for Rishi.
Manoj asks Rishi to be his Uzbek translator, but he refuses because Indira is also involved in the project. The next day, Ishaan asks Munna to take him to school, but Rishi offers to take him instead. On the way, he convinces Ishaan to apologise to Indira. Ishaan and Indira reconcile, but she scolds Rishi for aggravating her problems. Later, he comes to her office and starts talking to the delegates. Will Indira accept his help or refuse it?
Indira accepts Rishi’s help and they leave with the delegates for a business meeting. However, he insists that she thank him for all his help. Elsewhere, Munna takes his friend Montu’s money and gives it to Kutumbh and Sunaina. Later, he sees Montu looking for him and escapes. Ishaan comes to Montu in search of Munna. Montu asks him to wait for his father. However, he locks the garage and leaves, with Ishaan still inside in it.
Rishi and Manoj drink together. Manoj passes out, but Rishi stays conscious using a trick. Meanwhile, Indira receives a call from Sunaina telling her that Ishaan is missing. She scolds everyone in her family for being irresponsible. She also calls Munna, but he hangs up. Later, she and Rishi go look for Ishaan. They both ask Radhe’s friend, Kasim, about Ishaan’s whereabouts, but he answers in the negative.
Rishi takes Indira to Montu’s garage and rescues Ishaan. Later, she scolds Munna for being irresponsible. Afterwards, when Rishi offers her a snack, she rejects it. Furthermore, she scolds him for being too intrusive in her personal life. Meanwhile, Sunaina informs her that Ishaan has fever. She takes care of him the whole night. The next morning, she searches for Rishi, but Mandira gives her a shocking news.
Rishi takes the Uzbek delegates site-seeing and leaves a letter for Indira. She then looks for him all around the city. Elsewhere, Munna distributes the pamphlets for a religious festival and asks people to turn up at the event with money. Meanwhile, Inder comes to visit Ishaan with a doctor. He also brings the property papers of his house and tries to trick Kutumbh into signing it. Munna arrives with another doctor and comes face-to-face with Inder.
Inder decides to stay as long as the doctor attends to Ishaan. Later, Indira arrives, and Inder hides. Meanwhile, Manoj sees Indira at her home and informs Gurpreet about it. Later, when Rishi and the delegates arrive at her house, she splashes water on them. She asks Kutumbh to take them to her room for a change of clothes. However, Sunaina offers her clothes to the delegates instead of Kutumbh’s. Meanwhile, Inder’s phone starts to ring.
Munna takes Rishi and the delegates to a ‘Jagrata’, a hindu religious festival where the devotees spend a night singing praises for a deity. Meanwhile, Jhumpa comes to Indira’s house in search of Inder. Later, he comes out of hiding and faces Indira. She begins to confront him, but Kutumbh takes his side. She tells her that he has the right to visit her house and that she is no one to stop him. She also belittles Indira’s contribution to the family, after which Indira takes a drastic step.
Ishaan tries to stop Indira from leaving, but she remains adamant. Later, he tells Munna about it, who does not take it seriously. However, Rishi decides to find her. Later, at the ‘Jagrata’, a man identifies him as Ricky, but he dismisses him. Elsewhere, Indira calls up Vidhit to ask for help, but he does not pick up the phone. Later, some men start harassing her, and Rishi arrives. However, she ends up scolding him.
Indira forbids Rishi from following her and leaves. However, he tracks her phone with the help of his friend. Meanwhile, Indira gets on a bus to Rishikesh, but the police stops it. Later, she is taken under arrest and brought to the police station. Elsewhere, one of the delegates gets robbed, and she calls up Gurpreet to inform of the incident. Meanwhile, Ashish beats up Manoj for talking to Mandira, and taking her pictures.
Rishi tells the police that Indira stole from him. Meanwhile, Gurpreet arrives at the police station and informs her that the delegates have been robbed. Incidentally, Manoj and Mandira also arrive, and a remarkable turn of events lead Indira to the real thief. Later, she returns the stolen items to the delegates. Meanwhile, Gurpreet offers her a raise, but she refuses. Rishi tries his best to convince her not to leave.
Indira returns home, which makes everyone unhappy except Ishaan. However, she asks Rishi to vacate his room the next day, but Ishaan asks him not to go. She also tells Mandira that she will stop her education and marry her off. She goes so far as to lock her up, and warns everyone not to set her free.
Rishi offers Ishaan and Indira a ride to the school. However, upon reaching her office, Manoj gives her a devastating news. Meanwhile, Kutumbh confronts Inder for tricking her into signing the property papers, but he discloses his plans to her. She also informs him that Indira burned the papers, which prompts him to come up with another idea. Later, Munna visits his house to confront him, but will Inder invite him in?
Inder and Jhumpa try to convince Munna to get Kutumbh to sign the property papers. Meanwhile, Gurpreet informs Indira that he did not terminate her from work and also gives her a holiday voucher. Back at Sharma Niwas, Mandira threatens to commit suicide because no one is handing her the mobile phone charger. Kutumbh informs the incident to Indira, who doesn’t give much importance to it. However, she gives her a shocking news regarding Mandira.
Munna asks Indira to transfer the property in his name. Later, she meets Rishi and asks him about his livelihood. However, he tells her that she is making a mistake by forcing Mandira to get married. Back at Sharma Niwas, Mandira threatens to commit suicide by jumping off the roof. She even pens a note blaming Indira for her death. However, seeing that no one is taking her threat seriously, she attempts to jump. Will anyone be able to save her?
Mandira’s suitor, Manish, and his family visit Sharma Niwas. Mandira asks him about his bank balance and possessions. However, unimpressed by him, she lies that she is in a live-in relationship with Rishi. This makes Manish angry and he leaves. Later, Ashish sees Mandira and Rishi speaking alone and informs Indira regarding it. Meanwhile, a police constable arrives at her house and reveals a shocking news about Rishi.
