In the spring of 1959, a retired actor, who previously played Sherlock Holmes, must investigate a murder at a small hotel on a tiny island near Mallorca.
Benjamin Basil travels to Mallorca hoping to relaunch his career but a death turns the actor into a detective and the hotel guests into suspects.
After a murder weapon appears in his room, Benjamin fears the killer will strike again. Vicky makes an accusation but somehow it doesn't add up.
The hotel resorts to drastic measures as the police finally get in touch. Benjamin and the guests grow increasingly suspicious of one another.
Benjamin can't leave behind what happened in Santa Águeda. The shooting of a new film reveals everyone's true colors and resolves the final problem.
