Tomoya Ishida, a young editor, struggles to fit in at a women’s magazine. Nervous to the point of collapse during his first visit, Tomoya is quickly won over by Mitsuya’s cooking. Tomoya’s jealousy flares when a handsome rival editor, Fujishima, enters the scene. Out of stubbornness, Tomoya refuses Mitsuya’s offer to cook for him. Later, they visit Mitsuya’s favorite spot, a restaurant run by Shige, where Tomoya's past triumphs and setbacks come to light.
